From hats to homes
In 2022, Ted Karras gave his new Bengals teammates Cincy hats. “A lot of the credit goes to my teammates for loving them and wearing them and it created a demand,” he said. The store opened Nov 22, 2022.
Sales first went to Village of Merici in Indianapolis. In October 2024 came The Cincy Hat Foundation, a 501(c)(3), and the mission turned toward home: housing and scholarships for adults with I/DD in Cincinnati.
Ted gave $500,000 to the first building.
